Exousia Training is a Communications and Soft Skills Services company based in Kilkenny. Exousia needed their site to perform a number of duties. Firstly a blog was important, secondly it would need to have prominent image links to the company’s social media outlets of Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin. A testimonial system was also a requirement and it was also hoped to have a contact form on every page.
The website was based on WordPress and built using a 3 column system. Doing this meant that the blog categories and posts would be easily visible and as well as the regular navigation there was also room for the social media image links. Finally it was possible to squeeze a working contact form into the right sidebar meaning that from any page on the site a customer has full contact access.
For the testimonial system an off the shelf wordpress plugin was chosen and modified to give a system which the owners would be easily able to update.
It was decided to use a simple black on white styling which would be in keeping with the “learning” theme. Red from the company’s logo is also used in places for additional decoration and highlighting.
